Meet The Pack

Lapphund Designs was born from a deep love for the Finnish Lapphund breed, outdoor adventures, and the incredible bond we share with our dogs. I’m Jill, and with the love and support of my amazing husband Brett, we’ve built this brand as a home for all Finnish Lapphund families.

We live in the beautiful town of Castlegar, BC, Canada, surrounded by mountains, rivers, and endless opportunities for boating, hiking, and exploring the outdoors. Our love for the outdoors made us realize we needed a companion to share in our adventures. After scouring the internet for the perfect dog breed, I came across the Finnish Lapphund. Instantly, I knew this was the breed for us! I excitedly told Brett, and the hardest decision from there was choosing which Lappy color to bring home!

That’s when our lives changed forever. We visited Bearspaw Kennels in Alberta and brought home our first Finnish Lapphund, Timber. Timber has been by our side ever since, joining us on all of our adventures, whether it's boating on quiet rivers or hiking up rugged trails.

Two years later, we heard the exciting news—Timber’s sister Marshmallow was having a litter! We just couldn’t resist the idea of adding Timber’s nephew, Tundra, to our family. And just like that, our pack grew, and we couldn’t be happier.

As devoted Lappy parents, we wanted to find products that celebrated the Finnish Lapphund breed. But to our surprise, there was very little available online. We searched everywhere for holiday gifts and day-to-day items that truly reflected the unique personality of our dogs but found nothing that satisfied us. That’s when we decided to create Lapphund Designs, a brand dedicated entirely to celebrating Finnish Lapphunds and the families who love them.

Today, Lapphund Designs is a place where Finnish Lapphund families can find high-quality, thoughtful products that reflect their love for this incredible breed. From clothing to home décor, every item is made with Lappy lovers in mind.
