Lapphund Designs was born from a deep love for the Finnish Lapphund breed, the outdoors, and the bond we share with our dogs. I am Jill, and alongside my husband, we built this space to celebrate and connect the Finnish Lapphund community and everyone who cherishes the Lappy lifestyle.
It started in Castlegar, BC
We live in Castlegar, British Columbia, surrounded by mountains, rivers, and endless room to boat, hike, and explore. Our love for the outdoors led us to find a companion to share the adventure, and after plenty of research we discovered the Finnish Lapphund: loyal, adaptable, and built for the outdoor life. The hardest part was choosing which beautiful Lappy color to bring home.
So we made Lapphund Designs
As devoted Finnish Lapphund owners, we went looking for products that celebrated the breed and found almost nothing online. Nothing captured the spirit of the Lappy. So we created Lapphund Designs, a brand dedicated entirely to celebrating Finnish Lapphunds and the families who love them.
Timber & Tundra
Timber
Our first LappyWe brought Timber home from Bearspaw Kennels in Alberta, and he has been by our side ever since, from boating quiet rivers to hiking rugged trails. His gentle nature and adventurous spirit make him the heart of our family.
Tundra
Timber's nephewTwo years later, Timber's sister Marshmallow had a litter, and we could not resist growing our pack. We welcomed Tundra home, and just like that, our two loyal companions completed the family.

Today, Lapphund Designs is a home for Finnish Lapphund owners and enthusiasts. Every item, from apparel to home decor, is designed with Lappy lovers in mind. Our mission is to build a vibrant community where families can connect, share adventures, and celebrate the joy of life with their Lappies.
